Movie Reviews

It took me 5 minutes to discover what a poor series this will be. In the execution scene, an African-American survivor is brutally finished off, when in reality, this survivor was spared because Mexico had outlawed slavery. A short time later, a Rambo-like figure escapes the burial pit to wreck havoc. Santa Anna, the Napoleon of the West, is depicted as a genocidal loony with the quirkiness of a Caligula.

This is a deep step down from the Hatfields and the McCoys as the History Channel is morphing into the DisHistory Channel. I cannot fathom the people who rated this a 9 were stuffing the ballot box. The story of Texas is an exciting and unique one. Were the actual personalities and events too bland for the writers ?
